Kids at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital celebrate Halloween

PALO ALTO, Calif. - Children at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital celebrated Halloween with tricks, treats and a haunted house.

For some families, the event meant much more than a festive distraction from life in the hospital.

It was a destination to celebrate milestones--and their children overcoming some frightening health challenges.

The children were able to pick out their own costumes, enjoyed goodies from dozens of trick-or-treat stations, and got spooked in a spectacular haunted house.
