Light installation on Bay Bridge returns
OAKLAND, Calif. (KTVU) - The light installation on the Western Span of the Bay Bridge is coming back.
KTVU followed a construction crew overnight, as they began re-installing the popular light display.
It first went up in 2013, and ended its two year run last March.
The 25,000 LED display will now be a permanent fixture of the bridge, beginning just before Super Bowl 50.
A group behind the project has agreed to raise $4 million to install and keep up the lights.
Electricians will spend the next two months to put up the entire display.
