Major accident in Martinez closes Pacheco Blvd at Highway 4

MARTINEZ, Calif. (KTVU) - A major accident Thursday afternoon in Martinez closed both sides of Pacheco Blvd at Highway 4, officials said. 

A truck reportedly hit a power pole, snapping it in half, at approximately 3:06 p.m. Pacheco Blvd is closed between Arnold Dr. and Blum Rd. Pacific Gas and Electric is on the scene and said it will probably take six to eight hours to fix the downed pole. 

That area of Pacheco Blvd. will be closed until the power pole is fixed, officials said.  

The severity of the driver's injury was not immediately available.
