Man accused of running SF escort service arrested

SAN FRANCISCO (BCN) - A San Francisco man accused of operating an escort service has been arrested on felony charges including rape, police said today.

Police said they began investigating 43-year-old David Carrasco, also known as "Joey Noble," on Nov. 26 after they received an allegation of sexual assault.

Carrasco, who police say operated an escort service advertised on Craigslist and other websites, was booked into San Francisco jail on Nov. 29, according to jail records. He remains in custody, with bail set at $1.5 million.

He currently faces felony charges including rape, sodomy, sexual penetration, false imprisonment, keeping a house of prostitution and pimping, according to court records.

His next court appearance is scheduled for 9 a.m. Wednesday.
