Man arrested in connection to burglary at Woodside Elementary

San Mateo County Sheriff's Office Deputies on Friday arrested a man in connection with a burglary at Woodside Elementary School.

Justin Huff, 45, was arrested on suspicion of commercial burglary, possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of stolen property and evading arrest, deputies said.

Deputies responded Friday at 6:03 a.m. to the school, located at 3159 Woodside Rd after an alarm activation.

Responding deputies located a smashed classroom window and several laptop computers on a bench outside the classroom.

Deputies also located a van in the rear parking lot of the school. The van had been stolen out of Millbrae.

Inside the van, deputies located a backpack that contained information on the suspect, identified as Huff.

Deputies began searching for the suspect and put out an alert with his description.

After several hours, deputies learned Huff also tried to break into a store.

A Woodside resident saw Huff, reported his location to deputies, and he was ultimately taken into custody, according to the San Mateo County sheriff's dept.
