Man dies in possible Lake Temescal drowning
OAKLAND (BCN) - Police are investigating the death of a 19-year-old Concord man Thursday evening as a possible drowning.
At 6:56 p.m., East Bay Regional Park District police received a report of a possible drowning at Lake Temescal Regional Park from the Oakland Police Department.
Police and the fire personnel found the victim submerged in the lake and were able to pull him out of the water, according to police.
Police and fire personnel conducted CPR on the victim until medical crews arrived, police said.
An ambulance took the victim to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to police.
The identity of the victim is being withheld, pending identification and notification to the man's next of kin, police said.
