Man killed, woman injured in San Francisco shooting: police
SAN FRANCISCO - A man was killed early Monday morning in San Francisco and a woman was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said.
Sgt. Michael Andrychak said the shooting was reported about 1 a.m. on Valencia Street between 17th and 16th streets.
This is not far from the mission police station, just one block away.
There was no information to report about a suspect or a motive.
The Mission was plagued with shootings over the summer, with two in June, two in July, and one driveby shooting in August.
