Man robs bank in Roseland near Santa Rosa, surveillance image released

Authorities are searching for a man who robbed a bank in the Roseland area near Santa Rosa this afternoon, according to the Sonoma County Sheriff's Office.

The robbery happened at the Exchange Bank at 400 Dutton Ave. near Sebastopol Road, sheriff's Sgt. Spencer Crum said. The sheriff's office issued an advisory around 1:15 p.m. advising people to avoid the area.

The robber was wearing a gray sweatshirt, brown pants and had a blue bandana over his face. He was last seen fleeing on foot west on Sebastopol Road.

The money the robber took is in a pack that explodes maroon dye, Crum said.
