Man shot in Emeryville in critical condition, police looking for 2 suspects

Emeryville Police Department confirms a shooting with one victim at 41st Street and San Pablo Avenue.

Early Wednesday evening, police responded to reports of a person injured and bleeding at 5:05 p.m. after the shooting. 

On scene they found a male victim who was transported to a hospital in critical condition, and investigators determined that the shooting occurred in the 4000 block of San Pablo Avenue.

There are two outstanding suspects, but descriptions were not available. No other victims were have been located, according to police. 

A Nixle alert was sent out at 5:42 p.m. notifying the public to avoid the area. 

Overheard scanner traffic said the victim was shot behind a nearby 7-Eleven and that people were seen running from the scene. It is also unconfirmed that a Ford Mustang was seen taking off from the area.
