Marin County sheriff breaks car window to rescue woman in flooding creek: video

The Marin County Sheriff's Office released body camera video of a deputy saving a woman who became trapped in her car as it filled with water.

The rescue occurred on Tuesday on Platform Bridge Road east of Highway 1, just outside of Point Reyes.

The sheriff's office said the woman hit a large puddle of water and lost control of her car, which ended up in a flooding creek.

Deputy Mike Dawson broke her rear window with a crowbar and she was able to get out safely.

Deputies are reminding people to never drive through standing water.

The Bay Area has experienced heavy rains over the last week, which will continue into Friday.

Skies should clear up by Saturday.
