Missing Stockton man's credit card used in San Jose
SAN JOSE, Calif. (KTVU) - A missing man from Stockton, who is suffering from early stages of dementia, could be in the Bay Area.
A silver alert was issued for Tommy Lee Carpenter, 68.
He was last seen driving away from his house at 10 a.m. Tuesday, to go find a dentist.
Carpenter has not been seen since.
Deputy Les Garcia of the San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office told KTVU that Carpenter's credit card was used
Tuesday evening at a Rotten Robbie Gas Station in San Jose.
But because the station is not open 24-hours, authorities were not able yet to talk to staff or see surveillance video, as of early Wednesday morning.
Carpenter drove off in a red Nissan Versa, with the California license plate, 6EGE868.
He has grey hair and hazel eyes, and stands 5 feet 11 inches and weighs about 210 pounds.
He's believed to be wearing blue jeans, brown t-shirt and grey shoes.
Carpenter also suffers from diabetes, and has never wandered from home.
