Mollie Tibbetts' brother scores 3 touchdowns in game 3 days after sister's body was discovered

LISBON, Iowa (KTVU) - Scott Tibbetts, brother of slain Iowa student Mollie Tibbetts, almost didn't play in Brooklyn-Guernsey-Malcom High's season opener Friday against Lisbon.
But he did. And when the 17-year-old quarterback ran for a touchdown and threw for two more in the 35-24 victory, the Tibbetts family and the community joined for an emotional moment.
Scott decided to play just three days after his older sister's lifeless body was found in a rural cornfield. Mollie Tibbetts was 20 years old when she died.
The Iowa college student was allegedly abducted and stabbed to death while running in a small town last month.
Scott's coach said it was a difficult week for the entire team, but there were many smiles and hugs Friday night, and it was a nice moment the community really needed.
