More than 6,000 still left without power in Danville - San Ramon area
DANVILLE, Calif. (KTVU) - About 26,000 people were left without power in the Danville/San Ramon area on Thursday morning.
As of 9:45 a.m. power had been restored to all but 6,000 customers.
The cause of the outage is a blown transformer, according to San Ramon Police.
Police say they believe the blown transformer cut power to roughly 26,000 in the San Ramon Valley.
Crow Canyon Road was closed in both directions at Alcosta due to the blown transformer.
PG&E is at the scene.
At this point, additional details have not been released.
