Mother, 2 sons hospitalized after Oakland crash

OAKLAND, Calif. (KTVU) - A mother and her two adult sons were hospitalized Tuesday morning after the SUV they were riding in rolled over on San Leandro street in Oakland.

Police tell KTVU, the woman, who was driving, is suspected of being severely intoxicated at the time of the crash.

The single car crash was reported around 1:20a.m. near the intersection of High street, just north of Interstate 880.

According to Oakland Police, the woman lost control of the vehicle headed in a turn and then rolled over.

One son was critically injured; the second son and his mother suffered minor injuries but were both taken to the hospital.

It's not clear if they were wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash.

San Leandro street was blocked for several hours Tuesday morning as police investigated the crash.
