Motorcyclist who died in Sunset District collision identified
SAN FRANCISCO (KTVU and wires) -- The San Francisco medical examiner's office Friday identified a motorcyclist who died in a collision with a vehicle just south of Golden Gate Park on Thursday.
Ryan Kennedy, 26, of San Francisco was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision despite the life-saving efforts of first responders, fire spokeswoman Jen Balestrieri said.
The collision was reported at 9:39 a.m. and occurred in the area of 15th Avenue and Lincoln Way in the city's Sunset District, police said.
San Francisco police Officer Albie Esparza said Kennedy rear-ended a vehicle on his motorcycle and died of his injuries.
