Mountain View teacher on leave after comparing Trump and Hitler

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. (KTVU) - A history teacher at Mountain View High School is on paid leave after making a comparison between President-Elect Donald Trump and Adolf Hitler. 

According to the San Jose Mercury News, Frank Navarro was asked to leave the school Thursday. 

It happened after a parent sent an e-mail to school officials expressing concern about a lesson plan for Navarro's class that drew parallels between Trump and Hitler. 

The paper says Navarro has taught at the school for 40 years, and he could be back at work as early as Monday November 14.
