Names of victim, suspect in Santa Rosa fatal stabbing released

SANTA ROSA, Calif. (KTVU and wires) -- Police have arrested a suspect in a fatal stabbing in southwest Santa Rosa early Monday morning, police said.
Kahlil Rahim Keith, 35, was booked into Sonoma County Jail on suspicion of murder and use of a deadly weapon. He is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday afternoon in Sonoma County Superior Court.
The Sonoma County coroner's office has identified the victim as 47-year-old Willie Ray Smith, a Santa Rosa-area transient.
Police responded around 3:10 a.m. to a fight outside of a residence in the 2800 block of Red Tail Street and found Smith on the ground bleeding from at least one stab wound. He was taken to a hospital and was pronounced dead at 3:46 a.m.
No other details about the killing were immediately being released.
