Napa police searching for vehicle in hit and run

NAPA, Calif. (KTVU) - A man with life-threatening injuries who was found in an intersection in Napa has died. 

The man had been hit by a vehicle at the intersection of Monarch St and Byway East early Friday morning. 

The victim, 54-year-old Michael Dean Green, was found by passersby at 2:17 a.m.

Based on the investigation of the Napa Police Department, they believe Green was struck by a 2014 silver VW Beetle with a California license plate of 7EFY913. According to police, it will have driver's side lower damage on the front or the rear.

The vehicle has been hidden and may be in the Napa area. Napa Police are asking if you have any information related to this vehicle or the driver to call Napa Dispatch at 707-253-4452 or text an anonymous tip by texting "707NPD" and the information to 847411.
