National Guard Soldier returns home, proposes

SANTA CLARA COUNTY, Calif. (KTVU) - As a California National Guard soldier returned from a four month deployment to Iraq and reunited with his girlfriend - he got down on bended knee to propose.
As the 129th Rescue Wing returned to Moffett Field Thursday,
Anthony Edwards of Placerville proposed to his girlfriend of four years, Kimberly Martin.
Edwards tells KTVU, "I was not nervous at all until we landed and the Air Force public affairs were there with cameras. I got vert shaky and was so afraid of choking on my words."
Martin said yes and Edwards gave her a boquet of flowers.
