Northern CA man believes wife was abducted
REDDING, Calif (KTVU) - The search resumes Monday for a Northern California mother of two, who has been missing for almost a week.
Sherri Papini was reported missing last Wednesday when she didn't come back from an afternoon jog.
Deputies from Shasta County and about 100 volunteers searched an area in Redding where Papini was last seen.
On Wednesday morning, her husband received a text message from her.
When she didn't pick up her two young children from child care he traced the cellphone using an app and found the phone on the side of a road.
He called police to report his wife missing, and he believes she has been abducted.
Volunteers say they're doing whatever they can to find the missing mother.
The sheriff's department says the missing woman was considered "at risk" due to the suspicious circumstances.
Her family has offered a $50,000 reward to anyone with information leading to her whereabouts.
