Oakland police are trying to figure out who shot a 35-year-old man Wednesday night in the parking lot of the Oracle Arena shortly after a Warriors watch party ended.

Officers were called at 8:58 p.m. to the shooting in the parking lot of the coliseum at 7000 Coliseum Way about 30 minutes after the Warriors beat the Cavaliers in Cleveland 110-102.  Police spokeswoman Johnna Watson said officers found the man had been shot twice.

Watson said the argument was not over the game, and everyone involved appeared to have been routing for the same team. She said it was likely the victim and the suspect or suspects had attended the watch party inside earlier, but wasn't certain.

USA Today reported that in a statement, AEG Facilities – the managers of Oracle Arena – said that after being "struck by a bullet in the parking lot" the victim was taken to a nearby hospital and that the man was in "stable but guarded condition."

Watson told KTVU that the victim was cooperating and there were "multiple witnesses."
