Oakland police assist with chase ending in crash, 3 arrested

OAKLAND, Calif. (KTVU) - Oakland Police Department says they assisted in a vehicle pursuit that began outside of the city on Friday and that it ended in a crash and three occupants being arrested. 

Skyfox was over the aftermath of the situation above 98th Avenue and San Leandro Street. Police said events leading up to the chase began around 4 p.m. A suspect vehicle, wanted in connection to a homicide in a different city crashed into another motorist. 

Skyfox could see two vehicles with damage to their front ends. Police said their vehicles used a "boxing in" technique to stop the suspect vehicle. 

As of 4:45 p.m., 98th Avenue in Oakland was blocked to the border with San Leandro.
