Oakland police report spike in use of ghost guns
OAKLAND, Calif. - Oakland police are reporting a recent spike in the use of so-called ghost guns.
That's the name given to untraceable and unregistered weapons that are made from parts purchased online.
Oakland police say they now account for nearly one-quarter of the guns seized in the city.
And police say these guns are playing a major role in the rise in deadly violence in Oakland during the past year.
