Oakland police search for missing man

OAKLAND, Calif. (KTVU) - The Oakland Police Department is requesting help from the media in finding a missing man.

Seventy-five-year-old Leonardo Zamora walked away from his home in the 1900 block of 39th Avenue on Saturday.

He has not been located since.

Zamora is described as a Hispanic man, 5' 5", and 150 pounds. He was last seen at his residence wearing a green shirt and blue jeans. Based on recent sightings, Zamora may now be wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.

A possible sighting of Zamora was reported on Sunday around 2:45 a.m. in the area of Vicente Road and Grand View Drive in Berkeley.

Another possible sighting of Zamora was reported on Monday in the area of Peralta Hacienda Historical Park in Oakland.

Zamora is considered at risk because he suffers from dementia and Alzheimer's.
