One injured in Fourth of July shooting outside California's Great America

SANTA CLARA, Calif. (KTVU/BCN) - Santa Clara police are investigating a shooting Thursday night just outside California's Great America, police said Friday.
Officers are asking the public for help regarding the shooting that occurred at about 9:40 p.m. outside the theme park at 4701 Great America Parkway.
Police said several people from two groups were fighting outside the park when a member of one group fired the handgun.
The shooting occurred in the area near the metal detectors near the park's entrance.
A person was struck on the arm with the bullet, which did not break the skin.
The victim was treated on the scene for her injuries.
Police said the suspect fled and officers have not located the gun either.
Police spokesman Lt. Todd Cummins said officers don't know yet whether the shooting was gang-related.
