One injured in San Jose shooting

SAN JOSE, Calif. (KTVU) -- Police in San Jose are investigating a shooting late Wednesday afternoon that left one victim injured, according to authorities.

On Wednesday at approximately 4:33 p.m., San Jose police officers responded to the 500 block of Avalani Avenue after receiving a report of a person shot. 

Officers arrived and located an adult male victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound.  The victim was transported to a nearby hospital and is being treated for his injuries.

According to police, the motive or circumstances surrounding the shooting are currently unknown. No suspects have been identified or located and officers are canvassing the area in search of clues.
