One injured in Saturday morning Oakland fire

One person was injured early Saturday morning in a structure fire in Oakland.

A neighbor allowed KTVU to record a cellphone video that was taken of the fire in the 2000 block of High Street.

The blaze was first reported at around 6:50 a.m., and was put out about 10 minutes later.

Authorities told the Bay Area News Group, that a 50-year-old man was sleeping in his second floor bedroom, when the fire broke out in his home.

Fire crews were able to rescue him, by taking him out of his room, through a window.

The building sustained fire, smoke, and water damage.

The cause of the fire is now under investigation.
