Orphaned cubs find new home in Tahoe

Three orphaned bear cubs have a new home after their mother was hit and killed by a car on July 4th, in Yosemite National Park.

The 5-month-old cubs' new home is at Lake Tahoe Wildlife Care.

The hope is the cubs will eventually be re-introduced into the wild next year.

The cubs are still very small, weighing between 8 and 10 pounds, but they are otherwise healthy.

Rescuers are trying to minimize eye contact, and noise when caring for the cubs.

The cubs will stay in Tahoe through the year and will even go into hibernation. During that time, they'll grow rapidly to more than 100 pounds.
