SAN FRANCISCO (KTVU) - As many as 5,060 Pacific Gas & Electric customers were without power this afternoon in San Francisco's Mission Bay-South of Market area, according to a spokeswoman. Power has since been safely restored.
A PG&E spokeswoman tweeted that crews restored power and that an equipment failure was the likely cause.
PG&E says the outage began at 3 p.m. Power was restored about two hours later.
Crews are working to restore power to approximately 2,900 as of 4:20 p.m.
