ST. PAUL, Minn. (KTVU) - A Minnesota photographer captured a poignant scene during the Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon.

Pam McKee was taking photos of the runners around mile 24 when she spotted a random act of kindness.

She noticed two younger men helping brace an older man as he continued to jog toward the finish line.

McKee says she heard that the older man fell, but was very adamant about finishing. So the men helped him up and the trio continued on their way.

According to reports, the man, 75-year-old Rick Kleyman, is a running coach at a local school.

In a Facebook post  Sue Locketz Kealy wrote Kleyman is a legend, "He was my sons running coach. He treated the slowest runners with as much respect as the fastest. He taught my son how good it feels to succeed and the meaning of excellence. The cross country team was huge at the time because Rick Kleyman was and is a great encourager."

According to WTVY, Kleyman has participated in 38 marathons.
