Photos: 'Idol' field cut down to nine contestants

LOS ANGELES (KTVU) -- 'American Idol' took a trip back to the '80s with guest appearances by David Hasselhoff, Boy George of Culture Club and Salt-N-Pepa before holding a double elimination that reduced the number of hopeful contestants this season to nine.
