Police activity, potential Hazmat situation at Bay Point Regional Shoreline
BAY POINT, Calif. (KTVU) - Regional Parks District Police Department says there is a potential hazardous material situation at the Bay Point Regional Shoreline.
The department is part of the East Bay Regional Park District. They tweeted the alert at 5:33 p.m. Thursday. According to police, a vehicle in the area with one occupant has a note on its window that says, "toxic gas." It appears to be a suicide.
Officials are asking the public to avoid the area as they investigate. Contra Costa Fire Department is at the scene to help police resolve the situation.
