Police activity prompts lockdown at Oakland Tech

Police activity prompted a lockdown at Oakland Technical High School on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Oakland Police Department. 

The incident started around 1:30 p.m. in San Francisco and ended in Oakland by the school.

Oakland police are assisting CHP and says the suspects are wanted in connection with crimes. 

One person was taken into custody and three other suspects remain at large. 

Only a few staff members were on campus at the time of the incident, according to the Oakland Unified School District. There were no students or teachers on campus.
