Police arrest suspect who robbed, assaulted victim at Powell BART station

SAN FRANCISCO (BCN) - Police arrested a Sacramento man who allegedly robbed a victim and  assaulted two others Saturday at a BART station in San Francisco.

At 4:52 p.m., the suspect approached a person on the platform of the Powell BART station, then stole their phone. The suspect then struck two other victims with a closed fist, police said.

Police detained the suspect, who was identified as 39-year-old Julian Ford of Sacramento.

Ford was arrested on suspicion of robbery, assault with bodily injury and battery. He was issued a prohibition order and was booked into jail, police said.
