Police investigate East San Jose homicide

SAN JOSE (BCN) - San Jose police said two people who were stabbed at least one time each, one fatally, at a residence in the 2500 block of Story Road this morning didn't directly call for medical assistance.

One woman was pronounced dead at the scene in the stabbing and a man who was injured is in stable condition at a hospital, San Jose Police Officer Gina Tepoorten said.

The call for help came from outside the residence but Tepoorten couldn't confirm who placed the call to report the stabbing. She said it was possible that one of the victims contacted someone else who called police to report it.

She said police aren't sure if anyone else was home at the time of the stabbing. Tepoorten couldn't rule out that the two stabbed each other or that someone else stabbed them and then left the scene.

Tepoorten wasn't aware of any previous police calls to the residence. No suspects have been identified.
