Police investigating string of armed robberies in Oakland

Oakland police are investigating a string of armed robberies since Friday.

First, on Friday morning, nine people were held up by three suspects near Place at Prescott Elementary School. Police say a gun was involved.

Then, around 10 p.m. Friday night, a man was robbed near the intersection of 105th avenue and Graffian Street. The victim says two people took $150 and used a gun in the crime.

Finally, early Saturday morning, a woman was held up near New Highland Academy, located along 86th Avenue.

The robbers made off with money, bank cards, and personal items.

Investigators with the Oakland Police are not saying if the crimes are connected but they do say the situations surrounding the crimes are similar. 

Police are still searching for the people responsible.
