Police locate missing Hayward man
HAYWARD, Calif. (BCN) - Hayward police have located a 61-year-old at-risk man who vanished Friday evening after calling his family to say he was lost somewhere in Hayward, according to police.
At around 7:30 p.m., Santiago Aguilar-Rios had called his family in Hayward to say he was lost and at a Jack in the Box restaurant, police said.
After Aguilar-Rios' family reported him missing to police, officers determined he had been at the Jack in the Box at 1490 W. Winton Ave., according to police.
There officers found the man's cellphone, but could not locate Aguilar-Rios.
Police consider him to be at-risk because he suffers from a medical condition which causes him to be confused and requires medication, police said.
Aguilar-Rios is described as a Hispanic man, 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing 164 pounds.
