Police respond to at least 2 lewd acts at Oakland BART stations

OAKLAND (BCN) In at least the second time in a few days police responded to an Oakland BART station after reports someone was allegedly masturbating on a train platform, police said.
Monday at 8:40 a.m. 50-year-old Jerome Hay of San Francisco was allegedly seen masturbating on a platform at the 12th Street station.
Police said they arrested Hay for the offense and that Hay was allegedly under the influence of drugs.
Hay allegedly had a pipe to smoke drugs and briefly resisted arrest, police said.
Officers issued Hay an order that bars him from riding BART for a while and arrested him on suspicion of performing a lewd act in public, resisting arrest, possessing drug paraphernalia, violating his probation and being under the influence of drugs.
Hay was taken to the county jail.
Saturday morning police responded to the West Oakland BART station where someone reported a man was masturbating.
Police said the man was in need of a psychiatric evaluation. Officers tried to arrest him and he resisted.
The man was taken to a hospital and when he was released he was taken to the county jail. His name was not released because he required medical evaluation.
He was issued an order that bars him from riding BART for a while.
