Police seek suspect for grand theft at San Carlos jewelry store

SAN CARLOS, Calif. (BCN) - A man grabbed a gold chain from an employee of a jewelry store and fled earlier this month in San Carlos, sheriff's officials said today.
The man walked into Accent on Jewelry at 643 Laurel St. and asked to look at a gold chain.
Sheriff's officials said an employee handed the chain to the man and he ran from the store.
The employee was not injured.
The suspect is being described as a white man, about 5 feet 8 inches tall with a slim build. He was wearing a black T-shirt, blue jeans, black shoes and a blue baseball cap.
The theft was reported to sheriff's officials Friday.
