Police: Son killed father at San Leandro home
SAN LEANDRO, Calif. (AP) - Police have arrested a 21-year-old man on suspicion of killing his father at a California residence.
San Leandro police were responding to an early morning distress call Friday when the son answered the door to the house covered in blood.
Police detained the suspect as they started searching for a victim.
Inside the home, they found the father suffering from fatal injuries. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.
Police have not released the names of the men.
A neighbor had called police and reported a man crying for help.
