About 44 million Americans say they have a side job to make ends meet.

According to Bankrate, millenials are the age group most likely to have a side gig.

A total of 28 percent of people between the ages of 18 to 26 say they have an extra way to make money, in addition to their main source of income. 

And it’s not just play money either: 54 percent of them use the extra cash to pay for expenses.
