Report: 49ers president reassigned to other roles

There's a shakeup at the 49ers front office.

There are reports that the team's president has been reassigned to other roles within the organization.

This comes as the team is struggling this year with 3 and 8 as their record.

A source tells Comcast Sportsnet that Paraag Marathe will be reassigned to other duties but will take a larger role in the team's outside business ventures, after the Super Bowl.

It's being reported that he will continue to manage the 49ers' salary cap, and be their top contract negotiator.

The Mercury News reports that Marathe is being removed from the president duties, in part because he's believed to be the source of recent leaks to national reporters, including reports discrediting Colin Kaepernick.

It's also being reported that executive Al Guido will take on much of Marathe's responsibilities.

Some say that started before the season. He was considered to be Jed York's right hand man.

The question, at least on social media, is who's next and what does this mean for the team moving forward.
