Rescued pup gets much needed makeover
Rescued pup gets much needed makeover - A dog covered in matted fur got a much needed makeover thanks to some kind folks in the North Bay.
'Mathilde' and four other dogs were rescued from a hoarding situation.
The pup felt much better after a long overdue bath and haircut.
Professional groomer and owner of Groovy Grooming, Carrie, says it took 3 hours to cut the urine and fecal mats from her body.
After enduring the terrible smell, Carrie was able to remove one pound of feces from the little girl’s tail.
Carrie said her heart grew when she saw Mathilde wag her tail, which probably hadn’t happened in a very long time.
The Dogwood Animal Rescue Project is currently assessing Mathilde and the other dogs. They could be available for adoption in a few weeks depending on their progress.
