Robber attacks woman for purse, iPhone at Fremont HUB

FREMONT, Calif. (KTVU & Wires) - Fremont police officers on Monday were called to the Fremont Hub Shopping Center Target store to respond to a report of a strong-arm robbery.

A female victim had been walking on the sidewalk talking on her cell phone when a suspect approached her from behind, threw her on the ground by her hair, and punched her until the victim let go of her purse and her iPhone, police said.

The suspect was described as a heavyset black woman, 5 feet 10 inches tall with long wavy hair and wearing a tracksuit at the time of the robbery.
