San Bruno BART reopens after fatal accident

BART service was slowed by a fatal accident where a person died on the tracks at the San Bruno station Tuesday night, according to officials

The closure was announced at 6:20 p.m.

According to a BART spokesperson, a Pittsburg-Bay Point bound train struck a person in the tracks at the station. The person was confirmed deceased.

The San Bruno Fire Department is on the scene. BART service was slowed as trains ran through the station on a single track. The station remained closed until 8:46 p.m.

At that time, there were 10 minute delays from San Bruno to East Bay stations
