San Francisco police arrest 21-year-old in connection with deadly shooting

A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting in San Francisco's Bayview District in October, police said Tuesday.

Joshua Robinson, a San Francisco resident, was arrested Sunday on suspicion of the killing of Lionel Clark, also 21, on Oct. 15 in the 5100 block of Third Street, according to police.

Officers responded at 6:36 p.m. that day and found Clark, an Antioch resident, critically injured. He was taken to a hospital and succumbed to his injuries there two days later, police said.

Investigators eventually linked Robinson to the killing and served search warrants Sunday before arresting him. He was already in San Francisco County Jail on unrelated charges at the time of his arrest for the homicide, police said.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the San Francisco police anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or to send a tip by text message to TIP411 with "SFPD" at the start of the message.
