San Jose police fatally shoot man accused of stabbing

SAN JOSE, Calif. (KTVU) - San Jose police shot and killed a man suspected in a stabbing Sunday evening.
Police were called to Virginia Avenue and South 34th Street, at about 6:20 p.m.
Investigators say the suspected attacker ran off when police arrived.
Officers later tracked him down, and there was some kind of confrontation.
Police say the officers who shot the man feared for their lives.
The person who was stabbed is being treated for serious injuries.
