San Jose police investigate officer-involved shooting
SAN JOSE (BCN) - Police are investigating an officer-involved shooting in San Jose.
Officers responded at 6:34 p.m. Thursday to the 6100 block of Monterey Road for a welfare check.
Officers located a suspect in the area of Monterey Road, north of Southlake Drive.
The shooting occurred when the officer made contact with the suspect, police said.
The suspect was transported to the hospital with at least one gunshot wound.
No officers were injured during the incident.
This is the ninth officer-involved shooting of the year in San Jose.
