Old St. Nick made some early morning deliveries on a motorcycle as part of the Oakland police department's 11th annual "Operation Motor Santa."

Zipping down Telegraph Avenue on his bike, Santa on Wednesday morning handed out presents to children and waving to babies along the way. One young boy dressed in a Batman T-shirt seemed especially happy to get a gift before walking away with his dad.

More than 500 toys were donated or purchased for this program.

The Golden State Warriors, the Oakland Police Foundation, Dublin Toys R Us, Quality Tech Automotive of Oakland, and police officers all helped Santa get ready this year.

Just which officer played Santa will remain a mystery.
