Search for missing 84-year-old San Rafael woman

SAN RAFAEL, Calif. (BCN) - Police are searching for an 84-year-old San Rafael woman who went missing Friday morning.

Chien Nguyen, 84, left her residence on Sonoma Street at 5:30 a.m. Friday, police said in a news release.

She boarded a Golden Gate Transit bus to San Francisco at about 8 a.m. and was last seen exiting the bus at about 8:45 a.m. at the intersection of Lombard and Fillmore streets in San Francisco.

Nguyen is described as a Vietnamese woman, 5 feet, 120 pounds with black eyes and gray hair.

She was last seen wearing white pajamas and had a black purse.

Nguyen speaks Vietnamese and is known to frequent San Francisco.

Marin County Search and Rescue is assisting with the search.
